Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are any of a number of various diseases (including those listed below) that are usually contracted through sexual intercourse or other intimate sexual contact. Some STIs (all STDs are STIs) have no visible symptoms and if left untreated, can lead to more serious diseases, even death.
